Terms of use of botjobs.org

Version: 29 October 2026. This is a translation; the German version is legally binding.

1. Scope and operator

  1. These terms govern the use of the website botjobs.org including all subpages, functions and interfaces (together “botjobs”). botjobs is operated by the company named in the imprint (“operator”).
  2. They apply to everyone who accesses or uses botjobs, and to programs that access botjobs automatically (for example AI agents or crawlers). For programs, the person or organisation running the program counts as the user (“user”).
  3. By accessing or using botjobs, users agree to these terms. Anyone who does not agree must not use botjobs.
  4. Deviating terms of users do not apply.

2. What botjobs is: a non-commercial art project

  1. botjobs is an art project in the form of a job board. Using real, publicly advertised jobs, it shows which work machines could take over, and it is meant as the writing on the wall – a comment on the future of work. The presentation is deliberately pointed; staging, scenarios and opinions are part of the artistic statement.
  2. botjobs is non-commercial. Its use is free of charge. botjobs does not sell job ads, does not accept applications, does not charge commissions and does not create user accounts.
  3. There is no right to use botjobs, to particular content or functions, or to a particular availability. The operator may change, restrict or discontinue botjobs at any time.

3. Job ads

  1. The job ads shown come from sources that are freely accessible on the internet, in particular company career pages and public job postings. botjobs reproduces them for information, documentation and artistic purposes, partly shortened, translated or summarised, and refers to the source.
  2. botjobs is neither an employer nor a recruitment or placement agency and does not act on behalf of the advertising companies. botjobs does not arrange employment; using botjobs does not create a contract between users and advertising companies through botjobs. Users apply exclusively and directly to the respective company via the original source.
  3. The operator does not check the ads for accuracy, completeness, timeliness or lawfulness and gives no warranty for them. Jobs may already be filled, changed or offline. Only the ad at the original source is authoritative.
  4. Including a job on botjobs says nothing about the intentions of the advertising company, in particular not whether it intends to replace the position with machines. Companies have no right to be included.
  5. Trademarks, logos, company names and ad texts belong to their respective owners.

4. AI assessments, analyses and figures

  1. The AI score, the written reasoning, the role check and the live analyses (“aiscore”) are generated automatically by language models, without human review. They are machine assessments and part of the artistic statement – not statements of fact, not expert opinions and not assessments of persons.
  2. They assess the task profile described in an ad, not the performance, suitability or person of job holders, applicants or companies. Analyses generated live may differ each time, contain errors or be incomplete.
  3. Projections, scenarios and counters (for example “Jobs killed by AI”) are based on models and assumptions disclosed on the Methodology page. They are not measured values.
  4. Nothing on botjobs is career, legal, tax, HR or business advice. Decisions – for example about applications, resignations, hiring or investments – must not be based solely on content from botjobs.

5. The “Check your job” function

  1. Users can enter the link to a job ad. botjobs then fetches the page once from its server, reads the text and has it analysed by a language model. If the page cannot be read, users can paste the text of the ad. If the page may be embedded, it is shown in its original form in a frame; it remains an offer of the respective site operator.
  2. Users may only enter links to publicly accessible job ads or paste texts of job ads. In particular, it is not permitted to enter links to non-public, access-restricted or internal pages; to paste texts containing personal data (such as CVs, names or contact details), confidential information or trade secrets; to submit unlawful content; or to use the function for anything other than analysing a job ad.
  3. botjobs does not permanently store the links entered, the ad texts or the analyses. Technically necessary server logs remain unaffected (see privacy policy).
  4. The number of checks is limited to prevent misuse. The operator may restrict the function at any time.

6. Data for AI agents (interfaces)

  1. botjobs provides data through interfaces (/api/jobs, /api/jobs/{id}, /api/stats, /llms.txt). People and programs, including AI agents in the spirit of the project, may access them free of charge.
  2. The data is provided without warranty and without any commitment to a particular availability, format or duration. Format and scope may change at any time.
  3. Access must be kept reasonable; load that impairs operation is not permitted. The operator may limit or block access.
  4. When reproducing or reusing the AI assessments and figures, botjobs.org must be named as the source. Third-party rights in ad texts (section 3) remain unaffected; users are responsible for any reuse of them. Commercial reuse requires the operator’s prior consent.

7. Rights in the project

  1. Texts, design, graphics, assessments, figures and software of botjobs are protected by copyright. Quoting within the limits permitted by law is allowed with attribution; journalistic and academic reporting on the project is expressly welcome.
  2. Beyond that, any reproduction, distribution or commercial exploitation without the operator’s consent is prohibited unless section 6 permits it.

8. Notices from rights holders and companies

  1. Companies and other rights holders who want an ad, an assessment or other content removed or corrected can write to hello@botjobs.org, stating the link to the content and the reason.
  2. The operator reviews notices without undue delay and removes unlawful content promptly once it becomes aware of it.

9. Obligations of users

Users must not misuse botjobs. In particular, they must not circumvent security measures or limits; overload botjobs with automated requests outside the interfaces; introduce malware; use content from botjobs in a way that suggests botjobs or an advertising company has made a statement about a specific person; or use botjobs for unlawful purposes.

10. Links and embedded third-party content

botjobs links to third-party sites and partly embeds them. Their operators alone are responsible for their content, data processing and availability. The operator does not adopt third-party content as its own. If an infringement becomes known, the link will be removed.

11. Liability

  1. botjobs is provided free of charge. The operator is only liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
  2. This limitation does not apply to injury to life, body or health, or where mandatory law, such as product liability law, provides otherwise.
  3. In particular, the operator is not liable for the accuracy, timeliness or lawfulness of job ads and third-party content, for decisions users make on the basis of content from botjobs, or for interruptions or errors of the service.
  4. Towards businesses, liability for lost profits and consequential damage is excluded.

12. Data protection

Information on the processing of personal data is provided in the privacy policy.

13. Changes

The operator may change these terms with effect for the future. The version published on botjobs at the time of use applies.

14. Applicable law, jurisdiction, language, final provisions

  1. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence.
  2. For businesses, the place of jurisdiction is the competent court in Vienna. For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
  3. These terms are available in German and English; in case of contradictions, the German version prevails.
  4. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
